Now, as far as plot and story goes, that pretty much sums it up. "Volume Two" sends her after the remainder of the squad, Michael Madsen, Darryl Hannah and, finally, David Carradine, proving with quiet charisma he was born to play Bill. "Volume One" sets up the story and had the Bride take on the first two members of her former team, Vivica Fox and Lucy Liu. whoops, I mean "the DiVAS" (Deadly Viper Assassination Squad) and sets about killing them all, one by one, saving treacherous Bill for last. She makes a list of all her former teammates in the utesy-cutesy monikered hit team "Fox Force Five". A few years later she wakes up with only one thought: revenge. As this betrayed (and very pregnant) woman lies dying, a man named Bill, her former lover and assassin head honcho, puts a bullet in her brain.īut the Bride is one tough mama and merely goes into a coma. When we first meet her, she has been gunned down in a bloody mess along with her fiancé, a preacher, an organist and her entire bridal party. She is referred to as the "Bride" because her real name is censored out of the movie's dialogue with a series of irritating beeping noises. In "Volume One" we are introduced to the Bride, played by Uma Thurman as one of the world's greatest assassins.

After all, where it is possible to review a movie and not its sequel, it is quite impossible to review half of a film. Now that the second half of the B-movie revenge epic has been released on video, it's high time to offer my two-cent opinion. Originally, director Quentin Tarantino was making one movie, but when the running length exceeded four hours, the studio decided to samurai-slice it right down the middle and release it as "Volume One" and "Volume Two." 'Kill Bill" is one movie told in two installments.
